Dance is not just an art form, it is a way of life
I am Dipshi Dixit, a professional Kathak dancer based in Kolkata, skilled in Kathak, Semi-Classical, Bollywood, Rabindrik and Bengali Folk.
My journey began young — performing at cultural programmes organised by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and earning recognition in the newspaper Samachar Darpan for those performances. Since then I have secured First and Second positions in every dance competition I have participated in.
I completed my Kathak examinations under the Charukala Board up to the Fourth Year, consistently securing First Position with First Division. I am currently pursuing advanced Kathak examinations through the Chandigarh Board, with the aim of earning an M.A. and Ph.D. in Kathak.
Alongside performing at cultural events, stage shows and dance festivals, I have spent over six years as a professional dance instructor — training students from four-year-olds to adults, in India and abroad.

Years Teaching Professionally
Every class I teach is built on comprehensive training — a strong focus on technique, rhythm (taal), expression (abhinaya), choreography and dance theory.
I have trained students of all age groups, from 4 years old to adults, both online and offline, from India and abroad. My aim is simple: preserve our rich cultural heritage while embracing the new, and train each student with care, creativity and commitment.
